🔥 How to Descale Your Water Heater

Step 1: Isolate the Unit

Close the cold-water inlet and hot water outlet valves (many units have dedicated service valves for this)

Step 2: Prepare the Solution

Mix 32 oz of Quantum Renew Tank Restore concentrate with 1 gallon of water in a clean bucket or container

Step 3: Connect a Pump

Attach a submersible pump to the service ports using hoses
Place the pump and hose end into the bucket containing the mixed descaling solution

Step 4: Circulate the Solution

Run the pump to circulate the solution through the heat exchanger for 45 minutes to 1 hour
The organic acid blend dissolves all mineral and lime scale — safe on all metal components

Step 5: Flush with Clean Water

Remove the descaling solution
Run fresh, clean water through the system for 5–10 minutes to rinse the system completely

Step 6: Reconnect and Restore

Step 7: Dispose of Used Solution

The used solution can be discharged directly down the drain — safe for septic systems, no neutralization needed
Always verify local wastewater regulations before discharging product

Inhalation: Not a likely route of exposure. Move to fresh air if irritation occurs. If symptoms develop, obtain medical attention. Skin Contact: May cause skin irritation or redness. No toxicity associated with the product being absorbed through skin. Wash exposed areas with water. In the unlikely event of prolonged irritation, seek medical advice.
Eye Contact: This product causes irritation to the eyes after direct contact. Rinse with water for several Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
Ingestion If swallowed: Call a poison center or doctor if you feel unwell. If vomiting occurs naturally, have victim lean forward to reduce the risk of Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Acute Eyes: May cause serious eye irritation. Signs/symptoms may include redness, swelling, pain, tearing, and blurred or hazy vision. Skin: May cause skin irritation. Signs/ symptoms may include localized redness, swelling, and itching. Ingestion: May cause gastrointestinal Signs/symptoms may include abdominal pain, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
